Staunton Self Storage cashes in on the INSOMNIAC® AssistantManager

Prior to Megan, Rutherfords manager used to spend at least a half day, every day managing the facility. Now the manager barely spends an hour a day managing the same property and can better utilize his time on other businesses.
“The kiosk and the call center (Megan) have allowed me to add more units without increasing the amount of money and time required to manage the facility – it’s brilliant,” said Rutherford.
Rutherford is impressed with the customer convenience that the kiosk and call center adds. “It’s always there, always working and it’s affordable,” said Rutherford. Recently, Rutherford experienced firsthand how valuable Megan was when his manager forgot to remove an overlock. The customer pushed the help button on the kiosk and was immediately connected to the call center who contacted the manager and Rutherford to get the overlock removed. The situation was quickly remedied and the customer even commented on how great it was that Megan was there to assist them. “Without Megan, we would have had one angry customer – because it was after hours,” added Rutherford.
Rutherford’s businesses range from childcare, farming and excavating to construction, real estate and property management. He is actually planning on adding another facility soon and will be hiring Megan to take care of his customers. “It’s amazing – I have eight other businesses and Megan makes me wish they were all self storage,” he added. “My life would be much easier. And I would only have one employee, and it would be Megan.”
