OpenTech Launches New Self Storage Cloud Service
PHOENIX, Arizona – February 28th, 2012 – OpenTech Alliance, Inc. announced its INSOMNIAC software is now available over the Internet. OpenTech has leveraged 8 years of experience in completing unattended rental transactions to develop INSOMNIAC Online. The INSOMNIAC software that rented over 22,000 units last year on kiosks now runs in the Self Storage Cloud and rent units over the internet and on mobile devices. INSOMNIAC Online integrates with all the leading property management software programs, so operators have the freedom to select the software that best suits them and if they decide to change programs they do not have to spend thousands of dollars to redevelop their web and mobile site.

INSOMNIAC Online will allow consumers to rent units in real-time, make payments, sign up for tenant insurance, update accounts, access gate codes and much more. The service also includes integrated fraud detection to ensure the identity of the new tenant. Self storage operators will no longer have to settle for just getting reservations online that are little more than sales leads, now they can actually close the deal and collect a full month’s rent immediately.
Optionally, facilities with a kiosk can have the consumer use it to sign their lease, provide a fingerprint, scan their driver’s license, purchase a lock and if the gate code was not provided during the online rental process, it could be provided at the kiosk. Consumers can also get personal assistance from a remote Storage Counselor thru the kiosk, if needed. For security purposes the entire transaction is digitally recorded.
