PHOENIX, Arizona – July 10th, 2013 –OpenTech Alliance, Inc, today announced the successful transformation of Store Oronogo Self Storage, a two hundred unit facility located in Oronogo Missouri. The overhaul highlights a new business model that emphasizes maintaining relationships between tenants and ownership on a never-ending basis. As customer convenience continues to move toward the top of tenant expectations, resident owners Gene and Jane Mitchell, found more and more tenants wanted to do business during off peak hours.
“Developing personal relationships is our top philosophy, and the strength of that value is more important now than ever before. We go above and beyond to earn business, and at full capacity, we needed a better way to service new and existing clients, during and outside normal business hours,” said Jane.
The new model focused on complimenting business at the counter by installing an INSOMNIAC® 900 Self Service Kiosk. Their new INSOMNIAC automatically serves tenants with 24-7 rental, payment, access and two-way-video support; reducing their workload tremendously and insuring all customers a high level of convenience. In addition, the owners no longer felt obligated to leave their grandchildren, cut dinner short or get dressed in the middle of the night to assist a client.
At a time when most baby boomers refuse to adapt to technology & automation, the 70 year old couple took a leap-of-faith in ditching their old-school business model and hasn’t looked back since. “We couldn’t be happier; the changes we made provide greater convenience for our customers and us. Working together with OpenTech has been a piece of cake,” said Jane. “We are very satisfied with the kiosk and what it’s done. The investment does a lot for our small facility, and the technology makes our business more streamlined and easier to manage,” added Gene.
Robert A. Chiti, President and CEO at OpenTech said, “Independent owners like Gene and Jane are at full capacity because they invested in their business to give customers what they want, the ultimate convenience.”
As a number of companies have been busy buying up facilities, the Mitchell’s (active members of the MSSOA) are approached monthly with purchase inquiries. “You can sell the eggs, but never sell the goose,” said Gene. With great cash flow and passion for self storage, Storage Oronogo anticipates passing the torch to family. With a new INSOMNIAC Kiosk, and plans to expand, it looks as if Store Oronogo is set to be a family owned business for generations to come.
