OpenTech Introduces New Line of Streamlined INSOMNIAC® Kiosks for Storage Operators

Phoenix, AZ. OpenTech Alliance, the PropTech leader in self storage, announced a new generation of INSOMNIAC^® kiosks to expand its robust line of industry leading self-service solutions. The 30 series includes four new models — the 230, 231, 330 and 331 — all boasting built-in LED lighting and streamlined hardware. Like all kiosks available in the INSOMNIAC line, they provide a reliable, cost-effective tool to help self storage facilities provide full-service support to their customers. And with their slimmed-down design, 30 series kiosks are available at a lower price point than previous full-size models.

Meet the Next Generation of Full-Service Storage Kiosks

The biggest visible difference in the new series, aside from the stark contrast in physical space occupied by the machine, is the bright, LED lighting that backlights each kiosk. Available in a variety of custom colors, this lighting feature offers out-of-the-box branding, easy visibility for drive-by traffic, and added convenience and comfort for tenants accessing the kiosk after dark. The 30 series forgoes the lock dispenser and receipt printer that are standard on some INSOMNIAC kiosk models, and features an enhanced license scanner for fast and accurate ID verification. As with all INSOMNIAC kiosks, the 30 series supports full-service self storage rental and payment processing, from full lease to immediate property access, and offers Live Help to ensure a positive customer experience and successful transaction. Live Help allows OpenTech Storage Counselors to answer property questions, promote facility features and support bilingual customers or those who require assistance via two-way video chat and remote screen control. The new models are currently being piloted at properties across the country, and will be available to the general public in Q4 of 2022. The 30 series is the first line of INSOMNIAC full-service kiosks that will come standard with third generation INSOMNIAC software.
