Available for self storage operators using compatible property management software, the enhancement allows facilities to display Value-Based Pricing tiers directly within the Interactive Map experience on OpenTech’s INSOMNIAC Kiosks. By combining visual unit selection with tiered pricing and amenity information, operators can help prospective tenants better understand their options while guiding them toward higher-value inventory.
Interactive Maps provide a visual representation of available units, allowing renters to view unit locations, compare options, and select the unit that best meets their needs. With the addition of Value-Based Pricing, operators can further differentiate inventory using customizable pricing tiers, descriptions, amenities, and branding elements configured within their property management software.
For operators, the revenue opportunity is direct. When renters can clearly see why certain units are priced higher due to drive-up access, floor level, climate control, or proximity to the entrance they are more likely to select those units.

The functionality is available immediately for facilities using the latest kiosk software in conjunction with a supported property management platform. Existing INSOMNIAC Kiosk customers with Interactive Maps enabled can activate Value-Based Pricing at no additional charge by working with OpenTech’s onboarding team to configure their settings.
Operators currently using INSOMNIAC Kiosks without Interactive Maps can upgrade to gain access to Value-Based Pricing, along with the broader benefits of map-based unit selection, enhanced inventory visualization, and an improved self-service rental experience.
