OpenTech Alliance, Inc., the leading PropTech provider in the self storage industry, today announced three new pricing and service tiers for INSOMNIAC® SmartEye. The new Select, Standard and Complete options give operators greater flexibility to match security monitoring coverage to the needs of individual properties and their portfolios as a whole.
Used by more than 350 self storage facilities, SmartEye combines artificial intelligence with live professional monitoring to detect and intercept suspicious activity as it occurs. OpenTech’s Virtual Security Team can communicate directly with individuals onsite through facility speakers and contact local authorities when audio intervention is not enough.
By intervening while incidents are in progress, SmartEye is proven to help operators reduce both the number and severity of incidents at their properties; from stopping fires before they spread to interrupting vandalism before significant damage occurs and deterring thieves before they access multiple units.
Security needs can vary significantly from one property to the next, even within the same portfolio. We introduced these tiers to give operators more control over how and where they deploy SmartEye based on each location’s risk profile, operating hours and budget. Regardless of the tier selected, the goal is the same: identify suspicious activity early and intervene before it becomes a larger loss.

All three service tiers include AI detection, live audio intervention and professional monitoring.
Operators can implement SmartEye for as little as $279 per month, or approximately $9.17 per day. Pricing varies based on the selected tier and service agreement term, and onboarding fees apply.
SmartEye works with a facility’s existing CCTV system, allowing operators to add proactive monitoring without replacing their current cameras. The service works along side other solutions in the INSOMNIAC ecosystem to support a more connected view of facility operations.
Operators interested in learning more can contact OpenTech Alliance today or connect with company representatives to discuss the new tiers at the Self Storage Association Fall Conference & Trade Show (Booth #1321) in Las Vegas next week.
Conference attendees who want to see the service in action can request an after-hours visit to the Las Vegas-based SmartEye Network Operations Center. Visits are available by request and subject to scheduling.
