OpenTech Wins Backing from Former Kiosk Skeptic

PHOENIX, Arizona – May 13th, 2014 –OpenTech Alliance, Inc. today announced that the company earned an important endorsement from Professional Self Storage Management LLC, a leading management company with a portfolio of over 50 self-storage facilities. Former kiosk skeptic, Melvin Holsinger, President of Professional Self Storage Management, has now taken advantage of the surge in technology that is energizing the industry.<

Now a kiosk supporter, the storage icon finds himself a true believer of self-service automation. Holsinger’s company recently ordered seven (7) additional INSOMNIAC™ Kiosks to revamp U Store It Self Storage Centers throughout Texas and Arkansas in addition to Spring Creek Self Storage, a new state-of-the-art facility in Laramie Wyoming. It took time for Holsinger to warm up to a concept that was once feared to depersonalize the customer experience, overcomplicate business operations or replace the human touch.

“Closed signs can be frustrating to many, and are slowly becoming obsolete at a lot of businesses today. The kiosk is simply an extension of office hours and creates a better consumer experience,” stated Holsinger. Storage rental and service procedures are the kind of processes that once established can take years to break, so Holsinger didn’t try to break his values on high-touch personalized service onsite. Still, with more and more storage customers doing business at off peak hours, his clients desired a facility that was open to do business even when their office was closed.

“The kiosk was the most cost effective way to accomplish that,” said Holsinger. Several other paybacks weighed into the decision of buying the kiosks. “There is a competitive advantage when facing a younger generation who is used to using self service automation. The kiosk will generate newfound rentals and enable my clients to hold rate increases to a minimum,” added Holsinger.

“As more and more management companies continue to embrace technology, more and more of their clients will find that they are making their self-storage property more convenient so more people will store with them. No doubt this is just a start, we are happy to see experts in the industry, like Mel, leverage our technology and adopt the benefits of self-service,” said Robert Chiti, President and CEO at OpenTech.

OpenTech Adds Second Call Center Location and Offers 24/7 Service

PHOENIX, Arizona – May 6th, 2014 – OpenTech Alliance, Inc. today announced they have extended their call center to the Eastern time-zone and beyond as well as now offer 24/7 service. For the past year they have been building up their remote call center in Dayton, OH, which now consists of over 10 full time Storage Counselors to better service customers in the East and Midwest and provide a valuable level of redundancy for the entire operation. In addition the company is now the only vendor in the industry to offer 24/7 service.

“I guess it is somewhat redundant to say we never rest, with a brand name like INSOMNIAC and the addition of our 24/7 service, but it is true. We are always looking for ways to improve the quality and value of our service for our customers. Our 24/7 strategy is linked with our global vision to offer call center services in other regions of the world. As our customers expand the footprint of their portfolios we want to be there to support them in the regions they are doing business, so we anticipate we will open more remote call centers outside the US in the future,” said Robert Chiti, President and CEO at OpenTech.

“The investment we continue to make in our cloud based technology and online training programs are what have made it possible for us to have such a broad vision. We can now not only open up a call center anywhere in the world, we can also open individual call centers in the homes of our employees thru our Work @ Home program,” Chiti added.
