OpenTech Kiosk & Call Center Combo Plays Role on a Winning Team

PHOENIX, Arizona – October 20th, 2012 – OpenTech Alliance, Inc. announced the progression of a 2 year development with American Self Storage to meet the demands of the modern self storage business. Headquartered in Santa Barbara California, The Laurel Company is a property management firm that that operates 10 self storage facilities under the American Self Storage brand. In the face of a prolonged recession, American Self Storage continues to persevere while wading through the effects of a municipal bankruptcy in Stockton (California).

The mission to modernize facilities began in 2009 with the installation of their first INSOMNIAC™ Kiosk, while further implementations of the INSOMNIAC Live! Call Center followed. A two-punch solution that makes use of a self service kiosk and centralized call center, the INSOMNIAC AssistantManager is an effective combination that supports facility managers to rent more units and service customers.

Effectively, self service automation and OpenTech Storage Counselors are strategically empowered to assist managers during the work day, after business hours and on Sundays & Holidays when the office is closed. Independent Self Storage Operator “Killing It”

PHOENIX, Arizona – October 15th, 2012 – OpenTech Alliance, Inc. announced that Renaissance Enterprise (an independent owner with two facilities in rural Texas) has acquired 75 new tenants through the INSOMNIAC™ Online rental service in less than 6 months. In April of 2012, Renaissance began piloting the online sales concept through the OpenTech Self Storage Cloud. Shortly after, online visitors responded favorably and unit rentals have been flying high ever since.

INSOMNIAC Online quickly transformed the independent operator’s website from a marketing brochure to function as a self service cash register that never sleeps. No longer in “reservation” mode, the facility’s home page is now equipped to provide shoppers with the ability to actually complete unit “rentals” online.
