Second Oldest Town in Tennessee Gets a Technology Boost

PHOENIX, Arizona – February 23rd, 2011 – OpenTech Alliance is pleased to announce that Do-It-Yourself Storage is paving the way for technology in one of the oldest towns in the country. Megan Campbell and John Maple operate Do-It-Yourself Storage in Dandridge Tennessee, a small population town located in Jefferson County. Campbell and Maple started with two pieces of vacant land planning to build, but then bought a property with three and a half acres and two buildings – converting one into an indoor, climate-controlled storage facility with 145 rentable units.

INSOMNIAC Kiosks Collected Over $18M in Rental Fees in 2010

OpenTech Alliance, Inc. announced today that it has exceeded the $48 million mark in rental fees collected by its INSOMNIAC kiosks. Approximately $18.8 million was realized in 2010 by self storage operators throughout the U.S. and Canada. In an ongoing effort to be a transparent company, OpenTech has released these detailed kiosk usage numbers giving the self storage industry the opportunity to see firsthand how consumers are benefiting from an on-site self service option.
