More Renters & Local Businesses Seeking Storage Facilities with Kiosks

PHOENIX, Arizona – March 17th, 2016 – OpenTech Alliance, Inc. announced today that Storage Spot, a 200 unit facility located in Beaumont Texas, revealed an in-depth view of transaction data that highlights the exceptional performance of their “full-serve/self-serve” storage office.  Despite pronounced profits & efficiencies, the side-effects of their business model are even more distinctive.

“Happy tenants and local businesses have become a walking advertisement for our brand,” said Mark Montebello, owner of Storage Spot.  Montebello incorporated the INSOMNIAC™ Kiosk into his facility from the start.  His sights were set on using the kiosk to assist his onsite manager with work-load, and also as a preventative to missing business when his office was closed.

It didn’t take long for the community to respond favorably to the kiosk.  Montebello was casually approached by one of the area’s biggest movers wanting to find out if the kiosk could provide their business with something other facilities could not… more flexible access to the facility during off-peak hours.  This kiosk attribute alone, led the company to partner with Storage Spot to lease units and parking space for their fleet of moving trucks.

“Their storage business, along with their customer’s storage business has trickled down to benefit Storage Spot, and the kiosk is credited to our acquisition of these new business relationships,” said Montebello.

In addition, Montebello has been grateful for his many tenants who have gone out of their way, almost instinctively, to spread the buzz about the benefits of the kiosk.  “We work on a very small budget, but always put our tenants first, and their word-of-mouth P.R. has been more powerful than any type of advertisement.  In part, the kiosk is responsible for gaining more new customers,” added Montebello.

Montebello has another business that occupies the majority of his time, but is fortunate to have an exceptional storage manager to handle operations, and provide customers with full-service onsite.  The manager also sees the kiosk as a fringe benefit of the job that affords a much more flexible, and efficient work-schedule.  “With the kiosk, our manager is not tied to a regular schedule on weekdays, nights, or weekends in the storage office.  The after effect is a huge benefit for our manager as well,” noted Montebello.

When the manager is away from the office, Storage Spot is never disconnected from their tenants, or new potential customers.  Their self-service office is always open, and supported by live Storage Counselors thru the INSOMNIAC Kiosk Network.

And while their manager still processes a majority new rentals, and tenant payments with customers in the office, the kiosk continues to play the role of a 24-7 assistant manager.  In 2015, 102 new tenants leased their units directly through the kiosk.
